Professor Jean-Claude Vial from CNRS visiting CSSAR

  Professor Jean-Claude Vial from CNRS visited CSSAR from July 4th to 9th, 2011. During his visiting, Prof. Jean-Claude Vial delivered a lecture on Solar EUV Imaging and Coronagraphy, from which the audience draw lots of inspiration. In addition, Prof. Jean-Claude Vial visited Lab of Space Environment Exploration (LSEE), Data Center of Meridian Project and Space Weather Prediction Center.

  Prof. Wang Shijin, the Chinese counterpart, and his collogues gave an array of presentations on a variety of topics, such as lab introduction, solar X-EUV imaging telescope, solar Lyman-α imaging telescope and CCD tests. 

  The close tie for cooperation was set up on Kuafu-A, SPORT mission. Valuable suggestions were given by Prof. Jean-Claude Vial on payloads of Kuafu-A, SPORT mission and observations for Chinese solar activity forecast, which will become the area for cooperation for both parties.

  Prof. Jean-Claude Vial comes from Université Paris and is an active member in International Astronomical Union (IAU).
