On May 7, 2012, the logo of NSSC was unveiled officially at Earth Hall meeting room at National Space Science Center, an occasion marking the brand new start for the various endeavors in NSSC. The Directorate of NSSC, including WU Ji, HUANG Kangping, WANG Chi, GONG Jiancun, XU An and MENG Xin, attended the lunching ceremony and gave awards to the designers of the logo.

The Earth Hall was crowded with the staff members in NSSC who were eager to witness this historical moment. The audience counted down and Director General WU Ji unveiled the logo in enthusiastic applauses. The logo shows the characteristic of NSSC, as well as the characteristic of China, which will facilitate the future development of NSSC, WU Ji said. It is a collective process with participation of all the staff members and specialists.

The solicitation of the logo candidates starts from July 18, 2012 after the Inaugural Ceremony of NSSC on July 7, 2012.
