An ISO Technical Specification (ISO/TS 19159-4:2022) was published by the International Standard Organization (ISO) in Nov. 2022. ISO/TS 19159-4 is one of the series of the international standards/technical specifications developed by the ISO Technical Committee on Geographic information/Geomatics (TC211).

Information of this ISO standard is as follows: Geographic information — Calibration and validation of remote sensing imagery sensors and data — Part 4: Space-borne passive microwave radiometers. The 51 pages document defines the calibration of space-borne passive microwave radiometers and the validation of the calibrated information.

A research group headed by Prof. Dong Xiaolong, Deputy Director General of NSSC, has been actively participating in the drafting of this document since 2017 with the collaboration from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Spain, and supports by experts from other national standard institutions and the team of TC211.
