On 21, May 2021, an Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) delegation visited National Space Science Center (NSSC). Prof. DONG Xiaolong, Deputy Director General of NSSC, extended his warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the major works of NSSC. He also expressed the intention to work closely with APSCO to come up with new areas of cooperation, based on the existing collaborations. Dr. Ferhat FikriOzeren, Deputy Director General of Department of Strategic Planning and Program Management, APSCO, thanked for the hospitality and hoped this visit will bring about new joint initiatives.

Mr. Aziz Koru, Deputy Director General of Department of External Relations and Legal Affairs, introduced APSCO and its activities, after which two talks from NSSC were arranged touching upon two Big Science Projects, i.e. the International Meridian Program (IMCP) and Global Water Cycle Observatory (GWCO).
The delegation was invited to visit the exhibition hall of NSSC and its facilities, including the space science mission hall, the mission operation center, data processing chamber and the National Space Science Data Center.
The Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) headquartered in Beijing was inaugurated in 2008 as an inter-governmental organization. APSCO provides a cooperative mechanism for developing countries in the region to be able to main stream peaceful use of space as a drive of development.
