On Jan 19, under the invitation of Prof. WU Ji, Director General of National Space Science Center (NSSC), a delegation headed by Mr. Mario Grotz, Director General for Research, Intellectual Property and New Technologies Directorate of Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy visited NSSC Headquarters in Huairou.

Prof. WU Ji extended his warm welcome to the visiting Luxembourg delegates and Ms. LI Xiaoyu, head of International Cooperation Office, made a brief introduction of NSSC. Mr. Mario Grotz thanked Prof. WU Ji for the invitation and expressed the intention for bilateral cooperation in the field of space. Mr. Marc Serres, Director of Space Affairs, and Mr. Mathias Link, Deputy Director of Space Affairs from Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy introduced the history of Luxembourg space industry and its involvement with European Space Agency, with emphasis on the Space Resources Initiative advocated by the Luxembourg government. Mr. Georges Schmit, Member of the Luxembourg Government Advisory Board on Space Resources, introduced the current status with regard to the Space Resources Initiative. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussion on the utilization of space resources and the legal environment concerning the space resources exploration and touched upon the possibility of cooperation in the utilization of space resources. 

After the bilateral meeting, the delegation was invited to take a technical visit to the Space Science Mission Hall and the Quality and Reliability Assurance Lab of NSSC.
