On 16 Nov. 2015, the biannual meeting of Chinese National Committee for COSPAR (CN-COSPAR) was held at National Space Science Center (NSSC). YIN Hejun, President of CN-COSPAR and Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences chaired the meeting in which 45 CN-COSPAR members and representatives participated.

Prof. Wu Ji, Secretary General of CN-COSPAR and Director General of NSSC, delivered the CN-COSPAR Work Report 2013-2015. Prof. DAI Ning, Deputy Director of Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, introduced the progress regarding winning the bid for the COSPAR Scientific Assembly in 2020. The attending delegates engaged in heated discussion regarding the nomination of awards candidates, the drafting of the National Report, the election of new CN-COSPAR members etc.

In the concluding remarks, Prof. YIN Hejun expressed his thanks to CN-COSPAR members for their constant support and deemed the CN-COSPAR work fruitful during the past two years. He cited his experience attending two COSPAR Scientific Assemblies and expected the Chinese space science community to make full use of the platform of COSPAR to promote more exchanges between Chinese scientists and their international counterparts. Prof. YIN stressed the importance of the effort to win the bid for COSPAR 2020, which could be a good opportunity to stimulate the development of Chinese space endeavor.
