On Nov. 16, a delegation of Italian Space Agency (ASI) led by Paolo Giommi, Head of ASI Science and Data Center, visited National Space Science Center (NSSC), Chinese Academy of Sciences.

After a brief introduction to NSSC touched upon fields such as major projects, international cooperation and Strategic Pioneer Program on Space Science, the ASI delegation was invited to visit the Data Center of Meridian Project, the Space Science Data Center as well as the exhibition hall of the DFH-1, the first man-made satellite in China.

The ASI delegation commented highly on the achievements in international cooperation at NSSC. And after a heated discussion with Prof. ZOU Ziming, Director of NSSC Space Science Data Center, both sides expressed intense interest in the future areas of collaboration.

The ASI delegation visited China upon the invitation of Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China.
