On 6th Nov. 2018, the 14th China-Russia Space Weather Workshop officially kicks off in Haikou, China, lasting for 4 days. With the joint support of the National Space Science Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NSSC, CAS) and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences (ISTP, RAS), the workshop is organized by the Chinese Space Science Society and the State Key Laboratory of Space Weather, attracting more than 70 researchers from the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as Chinese Universities.

The National Space Science Center (NSSC), CAS celebrated the 60th anniversary of its founding with a day-long symposium on Monday, Oct. 15. 2018. “The NSSC: The first 60 years”, gathered together the space science community of present and former researchers, friends, alumni, and supporters – all of whom share a deep interest in the past, present, and future of space science.

On 13-14 Sept. 2018, the second Sino-Swiss Space Science Workshop was held at National Space Science Center (NSSC). Prof. Dong Xiaolong, the Deputy Director General of NSSC and Prof. Krpoun Renato, the head of Swiss Space Office attended the workshop and delivered opening addresses. Both sides reviewed the space science cooperation history respectively and introduced ongoing projects as well as the follow-up plans.
