Chinese Edition of "Surviving 1000 centuries, Can we do it?" Selected as Recommended Popular Science Book
On April 23, 2013, to mark the World Book and Copyright Day, the National Library of China (NLC) held the Awarding Ceremony of the 8th WinJin Book Awards, encompassed in the overall event called "Reading for a Better Life: 4?23 World Book and Copyright Day Excellent Books Recommendation Activity".
After highly competitive reviewing and selection procedures, the Chinese Edition of Surviving 1000 centuries, Can we do it? co-written by astrophysicists Dr. Roger Bonnet and Dr. L. Woltjer, translated by WU Ji, Director General of the National Space Science Center (NSSC) and other Chinese scientists, was selected as the 8th WenJin Book Awards Recommended Popular Science Book.
Before the curtain was unveiled, as much as 1,150 titles of books were recommended by readers, publishers, libraries, experts, and so on. After recommendation, preliminary review, and final review, 10 titles of award-winning books and 58 titles of recommended books were selected, among them 14 titles were under the category of popular science books.
