ISTP Delegation Visited Yanqing Station
On April 27, 2012, Professor Alaxandr Potekhin, Director of Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences (ISTP, SB, RAS), and Professor Alaxandr Potapov, Deputy Director of ISTP, SB, RAS visited Yanqing Station. The head of Yanqing station TIAN Dawei received the delegation and made introductions to the coming guests about Yanqing station.
Professor Alaxandr Potekhin showed great interests on the research programs and the first class optical equipments. He said highly of the living conditions for station staff and touched upon the living conditions in the stations of ISTP. Professor Alaxandr Potekhin stayed at the exhibiting corridor with introductory posters of the equipments in the station for a long time and curiously asked questions about the parameters of various diagrams.
Yanqing station is one of the three stations of National Space Science Center which is equipped with antenna and laser radar facilities. It is also an important station for the Meridian Project.
