Cooperation Opportunity Opens up with Italy
On January 18, 2012, Plinio Innocenzi, the Scientific Counselor of the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, paid an official visit to National Space Science Center. Prof. WANG Chi, Deputy Director General of NSSC, expressed warm welcome to the Guests. A brief introduction of NSSC was delivered by Prof. WANG Chi and the report of Strategic Priority Research Program: Space Science was delivered by Dr. Sun Lilin, head of General Management Division.
The guests showed immense interest in the Strategic Priority Research Program: Space Science, which is composed of five satellite missions. The hosts and guests exchanged opinions on Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope and Kuafu Project etc. Through fruitful discussion, new cooperation opportunities emerge. Dr. Plinio Innocenzi visited the Operation Center of Meridian Project, Center for Space Environment Research and Forecast and said highly of the achievements NSSC had made.
Dr. Plinio Innocenzi, aiming to establish long term cooperation relationship, expressed positive attitudes towards the prospects of Sino-Italy cooperation. Both parties had the intention to promote the bilateral cooperation from the payload cooperation level to a much higher level. Counselor Plinio Innocenzi invited the leaders and scientists of NSSC to visit Italy at appropriate time.
