Sounding Rocket Assembly Test Completed
After 21 days final preparation, Sounding Rocket assembly test of Meridian Project was completed in Xi’an on September 16, 2010.
The assembly test includes the table integrated test of electrical system of the whole rocket, expansion experiment of electron and electric field booms, experiment of final assembly, test of rocket head and comprehensive test of the rocket, etc.
The table integrated test intended to evaluate the matching ability of electrical signal between rocket equipments and rocket’s control system, to determine the performance of the boom structure’s expansion function and to test the reliability of the structure in the harsh working environment.
The finishment of the final assembly test is the significant basis for the development of sounding-rocket payloads in the future.
