The Academic Communication between SEPC and NICT

CSSAR-Dr. Mamoru Ishii and Dr. Minoru Kubota, from Japanese National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), visited CSSAR during July 9 to 10. This is their first visit after the setup of the cooperative three GPS receivers system in Hainan in 2007. In addition to discuss the observations for Hainan station, the space weather forecast work in NICT and space environment prediction center (SEPC) of CSSAR was discussed.

Dr. Mamoru Ishii gave a wonderful presentation about the observations and research work on solar, magnetosphere, geomagnetism, ionosphere and the present situation on space weather forecast of NICT. Liu Siqing, sub-chief of SEPC, introduced the research work and forecast services on space weather forecast of CSSAR. Dr. Mamoru Ishii and Dr. Minoru Kubota visited the hall of space environment forecast and expressed the hope for further cooperation.
