The 8th Chinese-Russian Space Weather Symposium was held successfully in Beijing

General Affairs Office, CSSAR--The 8th Chinese-Russian Space Weather Symposium was held in Huairou District of Beijing from Sept. 23 to 29, 2007. Under the auspices of CSSAR, CAS and co-organized by National Astronomical ObservatoriesCAS, Institute of Geology and Geophysics, CAS, and The University of Science and Technology of China. The seven-day meeting brought together nearly 60 experts from home and abroad, and the director G.A. Zherebtsov of Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences, leads a Russian delegation attended the meeting.

 

The director WU Ji of CSSAR, vice-director WANG Chi, Academician LIU Zhenxing, and the director G.A. Zherebtsov gave key-note speeches and held hot discussions with the participants on frontier issues in space weather.
