China-Brazil Joint Laboratory for Space Weather Postdoctoral Fellow Positions Announcement

The National Space Science Center (NSSC), the Chinese Academy of Sciences, invites applications for two postdoctoral fellow positions at the China-Brazil Joint Laboratory for Space Weather.

The positions are open to candidates from all countries.

Position Description:

The Joint Laboratory is responsible for the joint meridian chains observation and data converging in the west hemisphere, the joint space meridian chains observation and data converging in the low latitude area both in the east and west hemisphere. It is located at headquarters of INPE, Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.

Thepostdoctoral fellows are expected to be resident in the Joint Laboratory in Brazil for one year,with possible extensions. The successful candidates will be responsible for the Laser Radar, or the Digisondeand TEC, and will participate in the study of upper atmosphere and ionosphere respectively.

Monthly salary of postdoctoral fellow will be 18,000 RMB (approximating 2800 USD dollar).

Requirements:

A successful candidate should have received a Ph.D. degree within the last five years in space physics. Good communication and interpersonal abilities are essential to this position, as well as excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills.Candidates recommended by NSSC or INPE shall have priority and are encouraged to apply.
